All We Have to Do

All you have to do is just tell me you aren’t happy before she comes into the picture. That’s all you have to do. All you have to do, when you ask me what I think is wrong with you, and I say I don’t know, why don’t you talk to your therapist, is call your therapist. That’s all you have to do. All I have to do is just tell you I think you might be depressed, before she comes into the picture, that I think maybe possibly maybe we might be in trouble, before she comes into the picture. That’s all I have to do. All I have to do and all you have to do, all one of us has to do is just tell the other the truth. That’s all we have to do. All we have to do is know the truth and admit to each other the truth. All we have to know and to admit is that something isn’t right, even if some other things are right, even if we don’t know what isn’t right. All we have to know is that there is enough that’s still more than right to start working on what isn’t right. All we have to do is travel back in time and tell each other the truth and then work on what isn’t right before she comes into the picture. Whatever happens from here we can say that we tried. And after that, all we have to do is let go.
