Flakkaserne – Anti-aircraft barracks

Flakvierling – Four-barrelled anti-aircraft gun calibre 2 cm

Funklenk (Fkl) – Radio steered

Gammongranat – British anti-tank grenade

Goliath – Radio steered mini-tracked vehicle for targeted delivery of high explosives

Heeresgruppe – Army Group

Hetzer – Tank hunter, Self-propelled AT-gun built on a Czech T-38 tank – (German designation: Pz Kpfw 38(t))

Jagdpanzer – The standard name for all self-propelled anti-tank guns

Kampfegruppe – Battle-group/Attack-group

Karl Gerät – Super-heavy mortar of 60 cm calibre! – used to destroy the most fortified bunkers

Kraftfahrpark – Vehicle depot – workshop/ garage

MG 34 – Machinegun, model 34

MG 42 – Machinegun, model 42

Molotov cocktail – Petrol bomb

Munitionsschlepper – Ammunition vehicle

Mörser – Mortar, large-calibre howitzer - in common with mortars it fired shells in a high trajectory towards a target

Nebelwerfer – German rocket artillery

PAK – Anti-tank gun

Pak 38 – Panzer Abwehr Kanone AT- gun, 5 cm calibre

Pak 40 – AT-gun with 7.5 cm calibre

Panzer-Abteilung – Armoured Battalion

Panzer-Aufklärungs.Abt. – Armoured Reconnaissance Battalion

Panzerbefehlswagen IV – Pz Kpfw IV vehicle with extra radio equipment – used as a field command vehicle with armoured battalions

Panzer-Division – Tank Division

Panzerfaust – German handheld anti-tank weapon

Panzergrenadier – Tank grenadier

Panzer-Jäger-Abteilung – “Tank hunter” battalion, offensively oriented AT-unit as opposed to a “Panzer-Abteilung“ which is more defence-oriented

Panzer-Kompanie – Tank Company

Panzer-Korps – Tank Corps

Panzer-Nachrichten – Tank signal/radio communication unit

Panzerschreck – German bazooka

PIAT – British RCL, a recoil free, hand held anti-tank weapon fired by one man

PzKpfw – PanZer KamPFWagen = tank

PzKpfw II – Model 2 = light reconnaissance tank

PzKpfw III – Model 3 = medium-heavy tank

PzKpfw IV – Model 4 = medium-heavy tank

PzKpfw V ”Panther” – Model 5 = medium-heavy /heavy tank
