C.S. Knighton has edited the Calendar of State Papers Domestic volumes for the reigns of Edward VI and Mary I for the Public Record Office. He also compiled the Catalogue of Modern Manuscripts in the Pepys Library at Magdalene College, Cambridge.
David Loades was Professor of History at University of Wales, Bangor, then Honorary Research Professor at the University of Sheffield, leading a team working on a new edition of Foxe’s Acts and Monuments. He was the author of many books on the Tudor period, including The Reign of Mary Tudor, The Tudor Court and The Tudor Navy. He died in 2016.
The authors collaborated on an edition of The Anthony Roll of Henry VIII’s Navy and several other publications for the Navy Records Society.
